LYRICS (Tha Underdog)

How U Feel Me Now? (a song I did in the year 2000) The Remix aka Tha Underdog

When I did my first songs some wasn't too strong - some laughed at me behind my
back when I was gone - for long I been wronged - mistreated - dissed when greeted
I got heated - many times with rhymes I felt defeated - almost quit from reactions
of d**ks - but now I'm back in the mix - I hit back with an avalanche of this
a saddle bag of hits - I'm bangin (excellent) like I'm bangin on rims wit the Knicks
it just fits - they say the last'll be first - I was gassed - I was pissed - now I'm happy
that they fueled this like they put gas in my car - I pass by - by so far - they put oil
in my fire to build my skills higher - I've acquired the ability - skills that be thrillin
me with joy - I wanna share it with you - it's all true - turning hate into love into
beauty is what it do to me - even got my mom feeling (liking) rap now and
rooting for me - cats that was shooting for me

They said I'm too small - too fat - I can't rap - too dumb - too poor - too ugly
a sad sack - lookin back then and now as a man that's endowed - you didn't
feel me when? well how you feel me now? Jay Tha Underdog I used to
drink a lot of 40s (40 oz. beer bottles) - I learned an easy life leads to really
boring stories - yeah tha underdog - my way was goin poorly - I learned an
easy life leads to really boring stories

Now these lines for the times I felt cursed - they said I was the first of the worst
at times I agreed -  (I) didn't understand (that) I wasn't a plant I was a seed indeed
I had a need to go to grow with my flow - wit rap I look back and show what I've
sown - my the flows grown - they say I sound now like a beast from the streets of
the East and it's a kick for me lookin back at my rap history back when they had me
feelin misery - the kid in me elated wit the way my skills elevated - dated? nah
never - you can't put a date on raps that's this clever - I severed relationships that
was negative and toxic - you didn't feel me then - you feel this when I rock this
the topic is improvement - in rap I talk a lot but your reaction it proves it - the
hate you gave me - maybe my skills is due to it - now that I ain't new to this
I show and I prove in this

Rob Base (It Takes Two song) said it best - yes - (there's) no joy without pain
my successes is impressive 'cause of what I overcame - it's a shame kids are lame
wanna gain by makin me ashamed of my name - long range - I got strong and
enraged - wasn't doomed to my fate - I got smooth and bloomed late - girls
excluded me from dates - that changed when I became built like Steele like
my name - on the mic I explain how I climbed and I gained ('cause...)
