(Intro) Mesmerizing music - get into the trance

I made this beat with my mouth and then my mom played it - on the violin
after I was done displayin it - we makin it - breat breakin it - it's no dating this
my mom my teammate in this - we hip-hop's first mother and son collaborationists
no fabricating this - real rap creationist - the authenticity of creativity it lives in me
givin me the vision to be written into history - I don't do it for the money see
I do it for the fun that we havin - I share the joy of music it's a fact and when I share joy
it comes back and I get joy as a reaction - I give it then I get it - I meant it when I said it
any type of music or genre it's no stoppin the family of Steeles from violin to harmonica
my attitude is that I gotta show my mom gratitude for supporting me with music since I
started pursuin doin this

This is dedicated to my mom Miss Steele - we actually a musical family for real
it's for my mom - for my mom - my attitude is that I gotta show my mom gratitude

we feel any music any instrument the rhythm be immersed in our system rhythmically
sonically - not shockingly my talent for rap it goes back - my Pop Pop Moe played
the harmonica in shows - my brother the other Steele was nice on the wheels of steel
DJin - displayin all the scratchin - my wife's a master of dancin - and I do the rappin

then my brother stepped in and started reppin wit the rappin - so drunk he nearly
stumblin - then he started fumblin - in the rap huddle then my brother started mumblin
surprise - they went wild - and everybody started lovin him! he was known thereafter
as "Mumbles" the mumblin drunken party rapper (this was many years before mainstream
rappers started mumbling and getting paid for it) back then I never thought I could rap
it was true - my aunt was All-City on the violin too - one night I had a dream that I could
play the drums so well crowds was stunned - got up - started testing it - found several
instruments I could play well just by messin wit it - rhythms in my system
this musical tradition it's a gift that keeps giving and
